Arvind Dharmapuri is known for his bold, principled stand on various social and political issues. He has consistently fought against corruption, championed farmers’ rights, and advocated for the welfare of the marginalized and powerless. His efforts also led to the establishment of the Turmeric Board in Telangana, a significant initiative aimed at supporting turmeric farmers and boosting the industry. He continues to be a relentless advocate for the betterment of farmers.

Turning Commitment into Action
During his 2019 election campaign, he made a public commitment by signing a stamp paper, pledging to either ensure the formation of the Board or resign from his position. Staying true to his word, he worked tirelessly, held extensive consultations, and successfully convinced the party leadership of the need for such a Board.
His efforts culminated in the historic announcement by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in October 2023, officially establishing the National Turmeric Board. This marked the creation of a new commodity board under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry after a gap of 37 years—the last one having been formed in 1987. Earlier, in 2020, Arvind was also instrumental in establishing a Regional Centre of the Spices Board in Nizamabad.
