A Promise Fulfilled: National Turmeric Board Now a Reality in Induru

The long-cherished dream of turmeric farmers across India has finally come true with the establishment of the National Turmeric Board, and its central office has been secured in Induru (Nizamabad). This landmark achievement is credited to the persistent efforts of Arvind Dharmapuri, Member of Parliament from Nizamabad, who stood by his commitment to the people and the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. True to his word, Dharmapuri played a pivotal role in ensuring that the board became a reality, right in the heart of turmeric country. In a symbolic and proud moment for the region, the first chairman of the board is a farmer’s son from Induru, underscoring the deep agricultural heritage of the area. With the support of the Telangana State Government, a state government building has been allocated as the temporary headquarters of the board until a permanent facility is constructed. This comes as a strong response to past remarks made by KCR and KTR, who once questioned the board’s existence and location. Today, the legacy has an address, and it proudly stands in Induru. Special thanks are extended to Sri Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Hon’ble Minister for Roads & Buildings, for approving the building in Induru at Arvind Dharmapuri’s request. This development not only marks a milestone for turmeric farmers but also reinforces Induru’s place on the national map.
