The Central Government has released funds to the Rural local bodies – ₹581 crore to AP & ₹409 crore to Telangana and ordered to spend for sanitation, drinking water, rainwater conservation.

₹969 crore has been released to AP and ₹682 crore to Telangana so far in this financial year.

The state government should transfer them to the local panchayat accounts within 10 days of being credited to the accounts and Central ordered to transfer including interest after ten days.
