With 56.5% CAPEX utilisation worth ₹1.42 lakh crore in just six months, the carriage of India is powering the nation’s growth with record investment. In the first half (H1) of FY 2025–26, Indian Railways achieved a historic capital expenditure (CAPEX) of ₹1.42 lakh crore, marking 56.5% of the total annual outlay. This milestone represents the highest-ever mid-year capital investment in the history of Indian Railways. With this achievement, Railways continues to demonstrate strong financial discipline, modernization drive, and accelerated infrastructure growth, laying the tracks for a safer, faster, and more connected Bharat.
