‘Nizamabad Parliament rises in celebration as two long-cherished dreams turn into reality’

In a strong display of leadership, vision, and commitment to the people of Nizamabad, BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri has once again delivered on two long-standing promises — ushering in a transformative era for education and agriculture in the region.

Backed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decisive governance and the BJP’s sustained efforts, two landmark developments have taken shape: the official establishment of the National Turmeric Board headquarters in Induru (Nizamabad) and the commencement of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya classes in both Nizamabad and Jagtial districts from this academic year.

Fulfilling a Promise: The National Turmeric Board Becomes a Reality

The decades-old dream of turmeric farmers in Nizamabad has finally turned into reality. While several states competed for the prestigious National Turmeric Board, it was Nizamabad, thanks to the relentless efforts of MP Arvind Dharmapuri, that secured the central headquarters. In a major symbolic and strategic win, a son of Induru has also been appointed the first Chairman of the Board, making this not just a policy milestone, but a proud emotional victory for the region.

The Congress-led state government’s reluctance to act swiftly was evident when repeated requests for allocation of space for the Board office were stalled for months. With no movement on the files, MP Arvind Dharmapuri escalated the matter to Telangana R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, whose prompt support led to the allocation of a temporary government building for the Board’s operations. Until a permanent facility is constructed, this step ensures that the Board’s work can begin immediately and benefit farmers across the region.

“When I signed the bond, establishing the Board was not just a commitment, it was a conviction backed by belief in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership,” said MP Arvind Dharmapuri.

Empowering Education: Navodaya Classes Begin This Year

Another major milestone is the green light for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in Nizamabad and Jagtial districts. Approved by the central government, these schools are set to commence classes starting this academic year—again, the result of MP Arvind Dharmapuri’s proactive intervention. In a recent letter, Deputy Commissioner Gopalakrishna of the Navodaya Samiti outlined the arrangements.

  • A permanent site has been identified in Kaligot village, Jakranpalli Mandal (Survey No. 1063)
  • Temporary classes will be held in the Government DIET College in Nagaram
  • Basic infrastructure like roads, water, electricity, and telecom is being coordinated through district officials
  • Rs. 20 lakhs from MP Arvind’s MPLADS funds have already been allocated for the renovation of the temporary campus

These institutions will provide world-class education to rural children, opening doors to national opportunities and significantly boosting the education ecosystem in the region.

From Farmers to Future Leaders: A Vision in Action

Whether it’s advocating for turmeric farmers or ensuring access to quality education, Arvind Dharmapuri’s leadership embodies determination, execution, and empathy. These back-to-back developments — the National Turmeric Board headquarters and the early start of Navodaya classes — are milestones that go beyond policy; they are promises kept and futures shaped.
