The Defence Ministry has cleared big-ticket acquisitions to strengthen India’s military capabilities, including 87 armed MALE drones with 60% indigenous content, over 110 air-launched BrahMos missiles, fire control systems for warships, thermal night-sights for infantry vehicles, autonomous surface crafts, specialised mountain radars, and upgrades to air defence systems. These procurements will boost operational readiness, enhance indigenous manufacturing, and further the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
