In a shining example of India’s maritime strength and global responsibility, INS Surat, in coordination with the Indian Coast Guard, successfully led a high-risk rescue operation off the coast of Kerala. The mission saved 18 Chinese crew members aboard the Singapore-flagged vessel MV Wan Hai 503, which had caught fire in the Arabian Sea. Demonstrating both professional excellence and humanitarian values, Indian forces acted swiftly and decisively, earning praise and gratitude from the Chinese government for their “prompt and professional” response.
