From Ground Zero to a People’s Force: The Rise of BJP in Nizamabad

— Arvind Dharmapuri, MP, Nizamabad

In politics, no election is too small to matter. Each one is a test of conviction, organization, and connection with the people. I have always approached every election, national, state, or local, with the same seriousness and scientific precision that the Bharatiya Janata Party embodies in governance

When I first took charge as the Member of Parliament from Nizamabad, the BJP’s Organizational presence in this region was minimal. What existed was potential and an opportunity to channel people’s aspirations into a disciplined political movement. Today, that potential has transformed into strength, unity, and credibility.

Over the past few years, the BJP has made remarkable strides in Nizamabad. In the seven Assembly segments that form the Parliamentary constituency, the party secured two Assembly seats and, more importantly, did not lose a single deposit — a feat that had never been achieved before. In the 2020 Nizamabad Municipal Corporation elections, the BJP emerged as the single largest party, marking a decisive shift in urban political sentiment.

This transformation did not happen overnight. It was built systematically through continuous ground engagement, data-driven strategy, and an unwavering belief in the principle that “Strengthening Modi is Serving the Nation.”

Alongside organizational growth, we have focused on bringing tangible development to the people of Nizamabad. One of the most significant milestones has been the establishment of the National Turmeric Board in Nizamabad, fulfilling a long-standing demand of farmers across Telangana. This initiative not only recognizes Nizamabad as the turmeric capital of India but also creates direct opportunities for value addition, exports, and farmer prosperity.

Infrastructure has been another major focus area. Under my representation, key railway projects have been fast-tracked. In my past and current tenures, we were able to initiate and follow up on the construction of six Road Over Bridges (ROBs) and four Road Under Bridges (RUBs), a few partially and others fully funded by the Central Government. Special trains to Delhi via Nizamabad during the festive season were facilitated, and halts were secured at Korutla and Metpally for the Kazipet–Dadur train, which previously had none. We continue to make consistent follow-ups and requests to ensure the completion of pending works and introduction of new trains towards North and West India, crucial steps to boost commerce, connectivity, and employment in the region.

On the education front, my MP office made consistent efforts to bring two Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and three Kendriya Vidyalayas to the constituency, ensuring quality education and equal opportunity for the children of Nizamabad.

Our political work is deeply intertwined with public service. ‘Arvind for Us’, a dedicated Helpline Centre for the people of Nizamabad, addresses individual and community issues every day. It has also played a pivotal role in the repatriation of distressed workers from Gulf countries, working closely with Indian embassies and the Ministry of External Affairs.

Beyond governance facilitation, the Arvind Dharmapuri Foundation (ADF) has extended life-saving medical support to hundreds of children suffering from critical illnesses. Additionally, through the ADF Welfare Fund, financial assistance is provided to Booth-level Committee members and their families, both during times of personal hardship and on occasions of joy…standing by my cadre in every situation.

Our strategy in Nizamabad has always been clear: serve people sincerely, stand with party members consistently, and plan scientifically. Regular constituency surveys, feedback mechanisms, and ground reviews guide every decision. Central Government welfare schemes are being taken to households by BJP karyakartas, ensuring that governance is both seen and felt.

The journey of the BJP in Nizamabad is the story of growth through perseverance. From being a marginal player to a formidable political force, the party today enjoys the trust of people across rural and urban regions alike.

As the local body elections approach, our confidence stems not from rhetoric but from results. The BJP in Nizamabad stands ready, backed by a proven record, disciplined organization, and an unshakable commitment to serve.

This is not merely the rise of a political party; it is the rise of an idea that ‘through continuous service, honest effort, precise scientific practices for catching the pulse of the people, and strategic clarity, any political landscape can be transformed.’
