Bharat’s commitment to inclusive development finds powerful expression in the transformation of tribal education under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and the BJP government. Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) are becoming beacons of opportunity, ensuring quality education reaches India’s most remote regions. The number of EMRS institutions has grown from 123 in 2013–14 to 477 by 2024–25 — a fourfold increase that signals the government’s intent. Today, 361 of these schools are CBSE-affiliated, setting high academic benchmarks for tribal youth. New-age skills are also being prioritised. Initiatives like the “Amazon Future Engineer” program and the TALASH platform — launched in collaboration with UNICEF — are preparing students for careers in coding, AI, and life skills. These schools are not just filling educational gaps — they are shaping aspirations and futures, strengthening the foundations of Viksit Bharat and empowering tribal communities with knowledge, dignity, and equal opportunity.
